By Joel Melton
… and we wait.
we know the end,
how the promise was kept,
and is being kept.
He has and is
and will come.
the advented Light
still breaks —
is adventing —
in our night-like days.
we wait like winter.
the curse is being reversed.
redemption’s cycle
spins in the song
He began.
so sing along.
heaven’s threshold glows
in pulsing joy.
He too waits, eagerly
in patient love.
so we wait.
so come and become.
advent in our weary hope.
fulfill the days
we wait…

one of the ways i know a poem is good is if it makes me want to paint. this made me want to paint.
