Do you remember my Sunday Afternoon Snippet at January’s start— The “Why” Behind Our Resolutions?
One of my resolutions for 2020 is to build an online platform from which my writing can be shared and spread.
But why?
That’s a question I’ve been grilling myself with. Because I joined Instagram this week.
In a culture that cheerleads me to snag attention and broadcast myself, I want to use social media in a radical way. I want to use it for the fame of God’s name.
“Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and faithfulness.” – Ps. 115:1
I write articles about Christ, creation, sunsets, suffering, family, and intentionality. They’re topics I’m passionate about because they’re topics that, I pray, get you passionate about God.
A writing platform is not a launchpad to send my name rocketing across the Internet.
A writing platform is more like an altar. It’s where I offer my gifts to God by humbly offering them to you.
I’m praying Instagram is a tool that reaches more people with the truth of Christ’s kingdom than my blog or email list could alone. I also want to connect with you more personally as your friend and sister.
You can join me in this new adventure right here.
My account is currently private, but please feel free to request access.
This is so amazing, Bethany! I’m excited to see how God will use you. ❤
