Jim and Elisabeth Elliot were 20th century missionaries to the Auca natives of Ecuador. In 1956, Jim and his four companions were speared to death by the Aucas while trying to bring the Gospel to this unreached country. Instead of crumbling beneath the weight of her husband’s death, Elisabeth Elliot picked up the pieces of this dream and continued to reach the Aucas with the love of Jesus.
