Hi, everyone! I hope you’re having a fantastic Thursday. Today, I’m having a little fun.

I’m so grateful to Faye L. over at her blog CREATE. IN. ME for introducing me to the Sunshine Blogger Award! The purpose of this fun event is to build the blogging community and get to know one another better. Today I’m going to answer her eleven questions directed to me, as well as ask ten of my own to bloggers whose writing I’ve discovered.

What is your favorite worship song and why?

O Great God by Bob Kauflin. I love the way this song captures the prayer of a Christian. It was adapted from one of my favorite books titled, The Valley of Vision, a compilation of Puritan prayers.

What movie did you last watch? How would you rate it on a scale of 1-10?

I watched Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story recently. Out of the three movies in that series, it was my favorite. I would give it an 8.

I also went to see I Can Only Imagine in theaters last this month. It was an amazing story incredibly told, but I’ll have to watch it again before I can rate it.

Who are a few of your favorite fictitious characters and why?

I love the simplicity of Bilbo Baggins, the genius of Sherlock Holmes, and the exuberance of Anne Shirley.

What is your favorite dessert to bake?

I don’t bake too much, but when I do, it’s almost always cookies. I love cookies.

What is one thing you absolutely love but would probably surprise those who know you?

I’m a super big hockey fan. I enjoy playing the sport, either on roller blades or ice.

Also, I have a thing for conferences. There’s something about meeting new people, seminars, book fairs, note-taking, and wearing a name tag around my neck that make me happy.

What is your favorite inspirational quote? Share the quote.

What are three of your favorite hobbies?

I have too many to list, so I’ll choose three in no order: hiking, sewing, and fishing in my grandpa’s pond (or anywhere).

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Whistling. Probably because I can’t do it.

What are three things you can do today to brighten someone’s day?

1.) Smile at them.

2.) Leave them a note.

3.) Point out their strengths, not their weaknesses (this is a tough one for me).

What are several things you are thankful for right now?

I’m so thankful for the way God is working in my life, for His Word, my family, and finding out that I have another niece or nephew on the way!
